Actually Venison tasste very much like beef only a bit stronger. Depending on the cut of meat, it can be as tender as the best beef or as tough and hard to chew as leather. It IS very lean and good for the heart. Tkaes marinating well, can be seasoned just like any other type of red meat, makes excellent stew meat or chili meat. Excellent as sausage, My favorite is Summer sausage by far.

Raji -- ROFLMAO. You have a GREAT voice.

I have had it cooked well, and cooked poorly. When cooked poorly you cannot even get past the smell of it to taste it. When cooked well . . . mmmmm . . . goes down smoothly. Liked it best in a stew . . . had a hard time getting past the idea that I was actually eating deer meat, freshly killed, instead of cow meat, packaged in styrofoam and plastic. I was also VERY conscious of the level of ENERGY I was consuming because of the FRESHNESS of the meat. It was really intense (but then I am weird that way anyway . . .).

i have and it tastes very good. I'm not sure what park of it it was since my dad cooked it and stuff, but it tasted better than a lot of meat. Of course, I don't eat a lot of meat either. It's tougher than other meat, and if you add some onions and peppers while cooking it, it's really good, also some seasoning.

well im a hunter and i turn most of my deer into ground meat. the truth is its basiclly cow meat that comes from a deer, and the taste is almost identical as is the texture. i heavily reccomend it over beef though cuz it is also slightly healthier!

The meat is on the tougher side. It has a very gamey taste. It's best to eat it in jerky form.

Venison is good but has a wild gamie flavor and very lean. The best way I have eaten it is in dishes that are seasoned. I have also had it in buritoes and Itailan sausage on the grill was awesome

Tastes like chicken.

Actually, it's very lean and firm and is best if allowed to marinate. Strong flavor and very good.

gamey. It's quite strong and you probably won't like it.

Try making a sausage out of it, and soften the taste with other ingredients
