my uncle was an atheist all his life, no matter what anyone said to him, a hard core atheist. Until practically on his death bed he accepted Jesus. I don't know what changed his mind but its not too late until the last breath. Don't give up on people our job is to plant the seed God will make it grow. We are not suppose to force feed either. The end of the world has been predicted since the beginning of the world. However, I would advise against holding your breath, you may be holding for a very long time. Personally, I'm not overly worried.

Actually what's happening is that Christianity is losing followers to atheism, because people are waking up to the idea that every thing you said in your question is utter nonsense.
