Rory doesn't know how to shut up! He talks about it's our job and we can't be bothered by people making comments while we work. Give me a break! Had the guy thrown out for making a comment? It is my understanding that the spectator was not loud or boisterous but just made a comment. I bet he'll hear it now from the fans as Colin Montgomery used to get heckled a few years back . I can't wait till he comes back to the Players next year too see the greeting that he will get. Professional golf does not need this guy.

I think Rory Sabbatini should shut up now. I have been reading the various answers here and read the updates on the web. Of course, it would be great to hear Tiger say I'll keep beating you and you happen to beat me, so what? Then again, we'll never hear Tiger say that because he's a man who knows the word respect. And after reading that Sabbatini had a cop throw out a spectator, he's a big schmuck. The cop should have asked Sabbatini, I'm going to throw the spectator out because??? Instead I would have love the crowd to suggest throwing Sabbatini out....hahahahaha..... That's my two cents which worth more than Sabbatini.

No he won't shut up but he should. He knows he can't play with Tiger or any of the other top golfers so he figures if he runs his mouth it makes him popular or in the spot light. The guys needs to get a clue. Tiger feeds off comments like that, while you can't even back them up with a decent round.
Rory needs to face the fact that he choked yesterday and that he is losing respect from his peers and any other people who cared about how he played golf.
He better watch out or his sponsors might pull their deal off the table. I hope he and Tiger get paired again at the PGA Championship so Tiger can take him behind the wood shed again and beat his ***.

I hope not. He is honest and doesn't care what others think. I think Rory has 4 wins for his career and Tiger has 4 this year. He didn't say he was better than Tiger, only that now is the time to beat him.

He said Tiger is very beatable this year. I guess, in the words of Amos 'n Andy, Tiger is the beater and Sabbatini is the beatee....
Quietly, Rory is climbing into the "Jerk" category. With him storming off to the next tee when playing partner Ben Crane was still putting. Granted, Crane is really slow but courtesy is a basic tenet in golf and leaving a green while play is still on is classless.

Tiger = 58 PGA Tour Wins
Rory = 3 PGA Tour Wins
Result = STOP TALKING RORY.
*he said that after seeing Woods play at Wachovia in Charlotte, that he looked more beatable than ever...*

With ears like his you'd think he'd do more listening. However, this won't go away until the press drops it. Take a guess when that might happen.
If you watched ESPN Pardon the Interruption tonight, 8/6, they made my case. They won't let it go. They compared the golf match to a heavyweight fight between Ali and Ernie Terrell, when Ernie talked some smack before the bout and Ali then during the bout hit him with 500 consecutive jabs and said "What's my name boy"? That's not what golf's about.

i read he was indignant about it and still not humbled. What an ***. Hate to imagine what he'd be like if he won a third of what Tiger has won. I would like the media to humble this guy, b/c players who are 10 times better than him don't dare speak such nonsense out loud, or maybe they think it's so absurd they don't give it much attention.

Rory's a talker, he's going to keep talking and Tiger is going to keep winning. Just ignore him, - no spotlight and he'll go away.

he was pissed that a fan asked him during the tournament if he still thought Tiger was beatable and had that fan thrown out by security...so Im sure by press conference time he knew he was going to get the business...
