i'm travelling to the US in a few days.... i'm from Europe and my flight is connected through London. i have a layover in Chicago where i will enter the States and do customs&immigration before i go on to LA (final destination).

so i'm wondering, once reaching LAX will i be able to just pick up my luggage and find the nearest exit? or will they bug me with customs and immigration yet again? i also have a visa so will they want to look at that again and ask questions etc?

thanks!

No problem here. Once you have cleared customs you will only be asked for you identification when going through security checks. No more customs to worry about. Just pick up you luggage and go. No visa check. Have fun.
