Some program fail to show up in the add/remove programs. Open "start" in your menu look for the name of the program and usually with the name of the program there is an uninstaller listed. The uninstaller that came with the program will remove the program from your system.
If there is none then you can try and remove the entire file by opening "start", "run", and type in c://program files, browse, open program files and look for the name of the file and try and delete. if this does not work, then you can type in the name of the file in your search for files. And see if you can delete all the files that your system finds with the name. If this still does not work, then you will have to take a risk if you are not an expert and open your registry and remove the associated keys. This can be dangerous if you are not an expert. As the registry is the brains to your pc.

Do a search for the program and make sure you click on search in missing files and folders. You can then send it to the recycle bin and get rid of it from there. If you don't find the program with a search it will show up in My Computer and can be deleted from there. Frustrating stuff!! Good Luck!!

most often the add/remove doesn't pic up some files due to installation errors (you can't prevent it don't worry) BUT most often the program should have been attached to your start up menu so try "start/all programs" if the program is there then select it and it should say in the pop-down "uninstall"
