yes - just make sure they are raw and whole.
I go to the markets and get whole whiting for my cats and dog. The guy that sells them still asks if I want them gutted though! It took some experimenting to get the right sized pieces to get them started but now they eat them whole.
**My pup has been feed raw meaty bones since babyhood and she chews EVERYTHING. I believe that gulping food is a learned behaviour as kibble and tinned food doesn't need chewing. A dog started from puppy hood with chunks of meat and edible bones will learn to chew its food rather than 'vacuum' it down.
Watch your dog so she doesn't hide them away to 'ripen' - the smell is GROSS believe me.
I hope the link is helpful

Well, first of all, you know not to give dogs fish bones, correct? At least I think that's what you mean. I wouldn't give a puppy fish because they can get sick from the rich fish oil in the fish. Stick to boiled, plain, chicken breast without bones skin, or spices as a special treat. You can give dogs a scrambled egg without butter or spices but limit that to about once a week or less. Dogs can also have boiled hamburger meat, drained and without spices. People food should only be given once a week or less and only what I mentioned here. There are probably other safe "people" foods for dogs but you should do some research first. Check the ASPCA website for toxic food for dogs. I always ask my vet before giving my dogs any people food. www.aspca.org - and, make sure the puppy is getting a good well balanced puppy kibble for it's nutrition. Kibble helps keep tartar from building up on their teeth too. It never hurts to call the vet and ask. Most vets will tell you what is safe for dogs over the phone, at no charge.

Alaskan sled dogs survive and work quite well on a diet of fish. Frozen during the winter and dried during warm weather.
I believe that salmon, or grayling would work better and be cheaper than MahiMahi Sole, or Halibut.

They can eat fish. should they eat fish? Maybe.
Usually fish bones are small enough that they pass thru.
Keep an eye on them. Look for the bones in their stool to make sure they are coming out in about 24 hrs.

No it is not good for him cats/kittens need a lot more protein and other minerals and vitamins than dogs do. Try mixing the kitten food and the puppy food, it could be he just likes the dish the dog is using, cats are fussy critters, it is part of what makes them so irresistible! Or you could try putting the puppy food in the kitty bowl and visa versa so you can se if it's the dish or the food.

Yes---but the fish should be cooked & bones removed. Dogs that have allergies to beef & poultry often do well on fish & pumpkin or sweet potatoes.

yes, yes they will. Even if it kills them. I knew a dog that ate a turky wing whole, he got his throat cut up real bad because the bones splintered. So i would recomend to try to keep the puppy away from the fish, before he learns not to eat them the hard way.
