People say things like "It's Gods will", or "God doesn't give you more than you can handle".

Hmm...perhaps....some things might not be an assumption?

Take...don't commit adultry. God wrote that with His own finger. How can I say I don't know what God thinks about adultry when He has spoken clearly about it.

And more lessons in His word.

No because we do know some of what he thinks by reading his word. The bible, it tells us everything we need to live a christ like life. And it does say God won't give u more than u can handle and that he does have a will for ur life.

Like you said, they are assuming they know. One can not possibly know what God thinks, unless they have a direct line that no one knows about. LOL Most people say these things to those in distress thinking this will help, when all it does is make those in distress even angrier at God and at the person who said it. If people want to help, sitting next to someone and shutting their mouths is a great place to start. There is no reason to bring God into it. It places blame on someone who may not have had anything to do with it at all.

we just go by what God's Word says, true some has added and taken away but most of us speak God's word, and He don't give us more than we can handle, He also gives us strength to go through everything that we do face..He don't leave us without.

People who say God doesn't give you more than you can handle have never been given more than they can handle. God never screwed them over, and they are religous, so they logically deduce that all people are blessed that way. Not true. God scews people and gives free will, so suffering will always exist.

As for "God's will" people want to delegate control to a higher power, because they don't want to admit that it is their own free will that got them in that pickle to begin with.

lol very true. Everything I say, is my opinion on God. I don't know how he feels or thinks, neither does anyone else. We all just have to wait until the end to truly find out. So, I don't see a reason for constant fighting over something you can't prove unless you're dead.

Saying, " it is God's will " , does not mean that a person knows what God thinks, this is just a personal opinion.
