I got one of those small photo albums with the "slip in" pages... then I let my daughter go through old magazines and pick out pictures of things she likes to do with grandma or things that make her think of grandma (LOL.. may have to do a little prompting here..) When she was done, we cut out the pages / pictures and slid them into the plastic slips.. then on the front, I painted her hand and stuck it to the middle.. then wrote with permanent marker "Me and my meemaw" - what she calls her grandma and at the bottom wrote her name and the year.. Then, she got to sit down with Grandma and explain her "photo book"...

There is a Hallmark picture frame that allows the child to record a greeting. Put a picture of your little guy inside and let him record something like, "I love you, Grammy".
It's guaranteed to be a hit.

How about a t-shirt or sweatshirt with his handprints all over it? My kids have made my mom and dad sweatshirts and they LOVE them!!! I stenciled World's Greatest Grand(ma or pa) and had the kids use different color paints for the handprints. It was fun to do, not too expensive and the grandparents actually WEAR THEM IN PUBLIC!!!

What about a nice hand made picture frame from him with a picture of her and him. Use pop-sicle sticks for the frame and have him decorate it with some things she likes. Or a nice picture he can make and you can buy a frame for her and put that in it.

anything made by your child would be great for grandma! my son made my mother a necklace with a piece of yarn and a circle cut from colored paper. he put black dots on it and told her it was a cookie necklace. she loved it!

he also made my husband a catepillar made from a popsicle stick and colored pom poms glued to the top and a large one for the head with google eyes... my husband keeps it on his desk.
