God can deliver you from this deceptive spirit that has convinced you to fear water. If you truly trust God, know that he will let no harm come to you during baptism. Your pastor or elders should be able to cast out that deceptive spirit demon. You can cast it out yourself for that matter. Deceptive spirits have no authority over you. You must know that to be the truth. Take authority over the demon and demand it leave in Jesus's name.

And for those of you who are decieved by the false doctrine into believing sprinkling of water on the forehead is baptism, you need to read your Bibles. There is no scripture anywhere that supports baptism by sprinkling of water. Full immersion is true baptism.

Sprinkling of water is a false doctrine made up by men, not inspired or annointed by God. Jesus had to obey God, and that is why He was baptised by John, in the Jordan, by full immersion.

Full immersion can be done in a bathtub, swimming pool, pond, lake, or any body of water to attain full immersion. It is a gesture of your faith (trust) in God, to wash away all your old sin nature and renew you as a new man or woman in Christ. If you repent and believe in the gospel as Jesus commanded, then you will walk as Jesus walked and do as he did.

Sprinkling does nothing but get you a little wet.

Fill a balloon with two parts gaseous hydrogen, one part gaseous oxygen and hold a match under it. There will be a loud bang, but there's not water until the last second.

Sprinkle would be the best option

Does the person bathe? Make it as similar as you can to however they normally bathe.

It's a symbolic thing - (the water doesn't actually wash away sins) so do something symbolic that the person can handle.

Some pastors only put water on their fingertips and then touch the person with this moisture.

Realize if you are going to be baptized...you are going to be realeased from all fear..and the fear of water is just that...a fear...your not free unless you are not under the bondage of fear...so pray and boldly go under the water and you will never have to have that fear again...we are set free from fear.

There's really no easy way around it. A blindfold might help; if they can't see it coming, maybe it won't induce as much panic.
