what's bad for a headache?

First, use an analgesic (pain killer). Try ibuprofen or acetominophen first unless you know you are allergic to them. If those don't work, try one of the heavier duty over-the-counter products like naproxen or get a script from your doctor.

Next, relax and calm down. Lie down in a quiet, comfortable place with a cool damp cloth across your forehead. Don't try to read, watch TV, argue, or work -- just chill. If you end up falling asleep, that's usually the best cure for a headache -- for me anyway.

Good luck.

You don't say if it's a migraine or a regular headache, but if it is a migraine, drinking a coca-cola can help.
If it's a migraine, you'll get optical illusions (usually flashing or spinning dots of light) before the pain starts. The pain will usually be accompanied by nausea, and you may actually vomit. Bright lights and noise will make it worse. If you can fall asleep it usually makes it better.
If this describes the kind of headache you had, then you should drink a coke once you think you're getting a migraine. It works best before the pain starts. Try resting in a dark room, and try to fall asleep. You should also put an ice pack to your forehead, that usually helps.
If you have another kind of headache, there isn't much advice i can give. I just thought i'd say what to do about migraines in case that's what you have.

Tylenol or if it's real bad then take excedrin(two of them) That should do it. Bad for a headache? Moving around, bending over. Need to lay down and rest and try to take a nap.
