I’ve asked God to forgive my sins. Am I right that God will not forgive me until I’ve asked the others whom I’ve hurt to forgive me first?

NO. You are forgiven. If God has now prompted you to aplogise to others then go and aplogise, but keep in mind that they may choose not to forgive you. Not your problem: your responsibility is to apologise, you have no control over their response. On the other side, you have a responibility to forgive those who have hurt you. Forgiveness isn't easy, and it doesn't mean you have to hang out with,or even like the people who have hurt you, and it may take time to get to a place where you can forgive, but it's a good thing to do.

No that is not right. If you sincerely repented of your sins to the Lord Jesus Christ, and you know that He is the Savior, He says that your sins are forgiven and are casted as far as the east to the west. However, it is usually always appropriate to go to the others and tell them that you are sorry and ask them to forgive you as well. Be careful though because if you have any bitterness in your heart towards anyone or something someone else has done to you, and you can't or won't forgive them, Jesus says He cannot forgive you if you cannot forgive the ones who have done you wrong. Like in the Lord's Prayer it says 'forgive us of our debts as we forgive our debtors'. I'll be praying for you that the Lord reveals your needs to you and the answers you so desire. God Bless!

If you have repented of your sins (Repentance means that you will not sin in the same way again) and asked Jesus for forgiveness, you are forgiven. Because you know that you have hurt people, you know within yourself that you also have to put that right. Ask for the help of the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom in how you do that and follow His leading. Jesus has forgiven you but you are having difficulty forgiving yourself. Putting it right with those you've hurt will help you to do this. God bless.

"If we confess our sins, he (Jesus) is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 If you have asked Jesus to save you from your sin, you are no longer a slave to sin; but it still happenes becuase nobody is perfect in this life. So, if you've asked god to forgive you, then you are forgiven. (you may still have to pay the consequences for your sins, but God will not keep you out of Heaven for it). God has forgiven you, but He also mandates that you ask those whom you have offended to forgive you as well.

Don't be silly. Where do people get ideas like this from? You can't live your life believing that wrong doings are sins. They are mistakes, and without them you can not evolve. Which is what christianity is all about. Repression of the self. Do not under any circumstances take a bite out of that apple! You'll go to Hell!! Well why show me the bloody apple?!!!!

For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

Romans 10:13

It doesn't say to ask for forgiveness and go ask other too...all that is required is for you to believe in your heart that Jesus is the only begotten son of God who was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died on the cross and rose again the third day and now sits at he right hand of God.

If you believe that by faith and you ask JESUS (name of the Lord) to come into your heart, that is ALL you must do to gain eternal life.

It really is that simple. Now, the thing to do is get into the word. You can do that on line too here is a web site to help get you started

I am not religious, but I think that instead of trying to get forgiven by God, you should be trying to get forgiven by what actually matters: the people who you have affected in the first place.

Going by pure logic, if you live you life ignoring God but being a good person that's a lot better than living your life being bad then trying to suck it up as much as you can for your own indulgence.

No, even though I believe that God would honor you asking these people for forgiveness. I think it says in the Bible to go to those that your have something against before you take communion.

Do not forget to forgive yourself in the process.

I have recently found myself telling many folks the following advice:
~ Confess early
~ Confess often
~ Seek help
~ Fix the problem
~ Move on

You will find it difficult to move on unless you have already forgiven yourself.
