It takes a high amount of control and intrusion to have a cashless society. thereby putting people in risk of being enslaved by the very system that promises more freedom,

I think a cashless society would reduce us to all being a number. This is in line with Biblical prophecy and while I am ready for Christ to return, I am not prepared for the events to unfold which would put us into such a society where our freedoms would be lost and we would be tracked/traced in every type of activity practically, simply by a number. It might start out as a national ID card or some other form, but will eventually end up as a number on the forehead or hand, and that is biblical. I'm not in a hurry for the day of 666, thank you very much.

It would be interesting to see how this would effect crime rates without cash for stolen goods, sex and drugs. Identity theft would still be a major problem along with people stealing your bank accounts and credits without your permission and knowledge. More than likely criminals will still find a way to survive using fronts to funnel your credit. Hackers would find a way to copy your information and most likely know when you get paid. It would have to be the most secure way possible to protect peoples money and credit. As far as I understand this cashless system is now being used and tested in England. I personally hate having cash on me anyway. But if your accounts were accidentally frozen or down etc. That would really suck too. I'm really not convinced that this system would work any better in a criminally biased society. For all we know the governments have their own type of crime system. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em? Besides, for those who are anxious for the Beast and the system to come to an end; what difference does it make? 2012 isn't too far away either and many expect that to change this world as well.

Bad idea. Freedoms and privacy are precious to Americans.
Our freedoms came with a very high price tag and we don't plan on losing any of them.

Having a credit card with a pass word or code would be better than cash. If stolden they can't use it without the pass code. Pay it at the end of the month by transferring funds in the bank to the payment dept. No checks no cash nothing to steal.

It would solve my financial woes.
But i think it has to deal with those that want power and control would no longer have it.
and there the ones with the power and control now.so changing to a system with no currency would mean having to go thru those people first.

Capitalism is ineffective. It makes people think there is not enought to go around when that is false.
