Every single person I know from work who has had Lasik (and it is 9 people) all have told me that they have BETTER than 20/20 vision now and can see so far away and so crystal clear that they can't believe it.
Remember that only certain people are able to have Lasik. NEVER trust a doctor that says anyone can benefit from Lasik. NOT TRUE and you could lose your sight if it is performed. I learned this in my anatomy class...watched a video about folks who have been ruined for life after a doctor performed Lasik on them just for the $$$$. Bottom line - be careful and do your homework.

my vision is better than before--even the day after surgery! it has continued to get better. in fact, i was able to read stuff on the chart that the doctor ways i'm not even supposed to see. better than 20-15 vision. but the best part about lasik is not having to deal with contacts and glasses. getting up and being able to see right away. lasik is the best procedure i've ever had! be aware-- you may have halo's and other problems. i did for months after the lasik...but it didn't bother me too much, and the trade-off was well worth it.
keep in mind--not all lasik is created equal. get a good doctor, who's performed many procedures. do not go for cheap. you do not want to skimp on your vision.

No. It will be closed or about the same as your vision w/ glasses, but not better. Your vision when corrected properly with glasses will be your best vision correction possible. Most of the time Lasik procedure will come close to your best possible vision correction. But can not exceeded.

Lasik eye surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and Lasik surgery in India by a company called Indian Health Guru Consultants. The Price for dental and Lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.
Indian Health Guru Consultants is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, Lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
