This is kind of a dumb question, but want to know what happens to carbs.

Before carbs get burned, they get turned into sugar; that's the ONLY fuel your body can ultimately use. If your body burns any sort of fat, it also has to be broken down to sugar before your body can use it. Once it's broken down to sugar (glucose, to be specific), then you're burning calories; all a calorie is, is a measure of heat, and calories are necessary for EVERYTHING you do - from sitting to breathing to the beating of your heart and the functioning of your brain.

Carbs are not stored, they are converted to blood sugar and the excess is stored as body FAT.

yeah. carbs are what your brain uses to function, and what give you energy.
