It showed up on Tuesday and since then I have used Neosporin, I have put it under super hot water, I have used Cortaid, and now I am using this perscription my grandma got when she had it.

The problem is it needs to be gone. I need it to be gone by Wednesday, are there any home remedies or something that makes it clear up faster?

Please help.

Thanks!

Poison ivy goes away a few ways
getting a steroid strip from your doctor would be the fastest remedy
other then that you want to dry the skin out, calamine lotion works well,
benadril helps with itching and inflammation.

I hate to tell you this but getting rid of Poison Ivy usually takes a couple of weeks - and I would say that's on the short end. I get it every year. I have not found anything that speeds up the healing although the hot water trick usually takes away the itch for a good long time.

Take a washcloth of some sort, the rougher the better, soak it with rubbing alcohol and scrub the crap out of the site of the poison ivy. It will sting like the dickens but it should clear up really quickly, the alcohol dries it up so good. Do it at least twice a day.

If you go to the drug store they have all kinds of good stuff, Im not sure of the name of it but it has a pic of poison ivy on it. Its kind of pricey but it is supposed to be the best.

Don't put it under hot water!!! That will cause it to spread. Keep it clean with soap & water (luke warm) and apply the antibiotic as often as recomended and don't scratch it!

u can't it just has to heal but whatever you do when you shower keep a band aid on it so that it doesn't spread b/c if it is on your body it can spread unless you don't have it covered.
