I know how you feel, I've been stressed out all weekend long about work and I really dread going in tomorrow. Is there anyone you can talk to confidentially (human resources) and file a complaint about this person? Going through your desk is not appropriate, nor is reading your email or going into your computer for any reason. Although email is company property, she is NOT your boss and has no right to rummage through your things. I would explain to the HR manager how physically ill you've gotten from working here and really express what's on your mind. It is not right that you have to work like this, especially if you're feeling physically sick.

On your job interviews, I would avoid telling them anything about "personality conflicts" with your co-workers or boss as the reason for your leaving. That would reflect poorly on you and unfortunately leave you stuck there longer. Try to focus the interview on how you're trying to advance your skills and feel that there's no room for it at the current job. If they ask for references at the current job, tell them your boss doesn't know you're looking and they can't call just yet. I hope you find something else soon, this is no way to work.

If you work for a large company, contact HR. You might have grounds for complaint. And I applaud your decision to look for another job - you are obviously miserable and there is nothing worst than hating going to work each day.

You received some good answers already, remove any personal information, documents or communication from your work space and your commuter.

Finally, realize this is a job. You do not have to like everyone, you do not have the obligation to judge or be judged by your coworkers. You are not being paid to be popular or make friends, just do the job you are paid for.

And I suggest you take a long hard look in the mirror and decide to demonstrate a bit more maturity and professsionalism that your postings demonstrate.

You only have control of you. Do your job, keep your mouth shut except directly about the project you are working on. You can't make a person you don't like change. Don't keep anything private at work except your purse or nothing at all. Your computer is company property don't put on personal information or personal emails assume anything you have at work is company property and will be looked at or even taken but try not to care since it isn't yours.

just to the best job you can...you can't always help how people will treat you at work...its good that you're looking for a new job...keep looking and try to ignore all the horrible things at work that are happening...i know if i had someone like that at work, i would talk about her to other people to at least make the day go by...im sure others have your same opinion
