i got my permit a month ago and i practiced turning and driving straight in an open area, but now this is my 2nd time driving in a less trafic road. Before i could drive straight without any problem, but now when i see a parked car i am scared i might hit its side mirriors, so that is why i move to the right alot. so how do can you tell if you are driving to close to hit the parked car and its side mirror?

Look back or the rear mirror would work too. Or if your that concerned open the door go out and check if yuor close or not. Once you get used to it yuoll find your skills at it grow.

This trick may or may not help you. It involves adding something ugly to your car.

ADD some sort of a marker. A sticker, a stick, SOMETHING that you can easily see, at the far right front corner of your car. Use duct tape if you have to.

Now if you think you're getting too close, slow down, and see if the marker is actually getting close to the other car.

After a while, you'll "learn" how wide your car is and stop panicking.
