where do these people come from? institutions? prison`s? where there meals are made for them? my daughter has been cooking with me since she was 5.. and she is now 13.. not once did she ask me how to make a sandwich..or how do i make a hamburger.. nor how do i make french fries..and to the guy that said there are alot of things you put into making fries? what are you doing to them? you prepare them.. you heat the oil and deep fry them.. and you take them out of the oil and drain them on paper towel and salt them..what more could you do to them?

Those that have asked these questions concerning cooking come from the school of the Galactically Insane. That is why I am announcing my candidacy for president in 2016.... So I can expel those with the intelligence of a rock, and promote actually USING the brains given to us by the Almighty.
For the record, while I am not the greatest of cooks, MOST meals have the directions on the side of the box. Just helping out.

Um... why are you so bothered? If you want to be helpful, answer their question. If you think they should be able to figure it out themselves, ignore it.
Perhaps these people come from a family where basic American lunches are not made. Who are you to judge someone who doesn't know how to make a sandwich?

There are a lot of people who suddenly have to learn to cook.
Widowers who have had a wife to cook for them.
Daughters who are getting married and have had mummy cook for them.
Men who are separate from wives.
Collage kids, etc

Don't know where this question came from but I understand the frustration. I don't think they are really that stupid. The question is are they looking for outstandingly humourous answers or are they just trying to yank our chains.

I also grew up cooking but many people are not that fortunate so deal with it because not everybodies cooking background is the same.

some people might not know because they are from another country who just came to America.
