ok, i know this is kinda gross, but whats the difference between a zit and pimple.
My friends are always like 'ooh i have a zit" and "yuck a pimple!"

There is none. Zit is a slang term for pimple.

it's a potato potatoe difference
some refer to them as break outs, pimples, zits, craters, white heads... they are all skin irritations...
maybe they say zit if it's got puss, pimple if just red and raised
