I have just purchased a Ford Fiesta LX. Regged 2003. But the dealer has no idea of the code for the radio. I presume that if i have to change the battery I will need it. Has anyone any ideas how I could get a copy. It was a company car previously and they have no idea what it could be.

have you looked in the manual for the car. It's very often printed or written in there by the dealers. Just a thought.

Press and hold the preset buttons 2 and 6. This should give you a number beginning with the letter M.
Post this number on here and I will get the code for you.
(PS dont try to take the radio out as it is a really big job on this model of fiesta)

hi first you have to find the serial number,you have to remove the radio by the use of removal tools ,they are about £1 from a ford main dealer(i bought some last week)if you have a serial number starting with an m i have a program which gives you the code.

Take it to a specialised repairer, i had the same problem when i bought a car at auction.They recoded it for me ,just like unlocking a phone.
