Ok, I just turned 30 but I look at least 4-6 years younger, due to being trim, a full head of hair, and keeping in excellent physcial condition due to a strict, healthy diet and hard exercise.
Where I live, most girls 25+ are either married and unavailable; and because there is a college in town, there are lots of younger single girls in the dating pool. I don't see what the big deal is if I want to go out with a 19 year old. I offer lots than a 19 year old guy couldn't; I work a white-collar professional job, earn a good salary, own a car, my own place, etc. Plus, I'm more mature, and level headed than much younger guys.
My friends think I'm perverted for doing this, I just think they're jealous because they let themselves go. Is this taboo or is this normal in the grand scheme of things?

I think it's mostly looked down upon because it is an uneven and unfair match. You have ten years of experience which she does not. You are wiser in the ways of the world than she probably is.
Every girl thinks at age 19 that she is mature. She isn't. I could see you at 30 dating a girl of 22 or 23 (senior in the college) and being better accepted than some little girl who just left home.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with dating a younger girl! As long as she is not 12! lol Over 18 is perfectly fine and that's nuts if people think that's wrong! I, personally, have only ever dated older men! My boyfriend is 4 years older than me, and I have been attracted to men my senior by 10 or more years, so I don't see a problem as long as they are legal! Ask for identification first! lol

but are you just looking for a good time or an actual relationship,

In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with a 30-year old responsible guy to woo a 19-year old college girl. As long as your intentions are pure and honest, I think it is perfectly ok. In fact, if I have a daughter in college, I would prefer that she dates a guy like you.

I think you are just looking in the wrong places for what you need. I think being thirty and dating teenagers is wrong. But that is my opinion. I am 26 and still looking, but not looking for teens to date! I guess it helps not to do something like that if you are a parent!! Or if you had a brain at all. Try not looking so hard and maybe the right one will come to you!

If your ok with it and she's ok with it...then go for it! Sure they're are some downsides to dating a girl that young(she can't get in some places you may want to go) but if you want to, who's to say you can't?
