Miracles are preformed everyday. The Jews in Exodous saw miracles day after day after day, yet still they questioned, and didn't believe. They wandered in the wilderness for 40 years grumbling and mumbling the whole time and doubting the existance of God. Parting of the Red Sea, water from rocks, food from Heaven, nothing convinced them long. Unfortunately most people are blinded by deceit and will never believe. They could have limbs grow back, diseases cured, a family memeber come back to life, but as the Jews did they will still grumble, mumble and wonder about the existance of God. It is a sad, sad thing.

The Bible's inaccuracies, lack of proof or evidence for thousands of years and philosophical inconsistencies make it unbelievable. That, and the fact that as societies progress, new things are either discovered or figured out (ie-some time ago, a lightbulb would have been considered a miracle) so even miracles would be doubtful.
Nature shows that individuals do not create complex life forms and females are much more important to the creation process than that inaccurate book states.
Edit: to Kel's answer & others similiar:-that hardly proves the one deity idea...it could also be an imaginary friend-one amongst many

None whatsoever. The miracle of life itself is sufficient evidence for the existence of God.
God created all things.

Well, as for healing, mind-over-matter. I did it too, I kept thinking I was sick, and guess what, I got sick (and no it wasn't any sort of devil) and then I kept thinking I was better, and I got better *gasp* As for a miracle, those are just parlor tricks (if you mean seeing the virgin Mary in a tortilla shell) but the real miracles, all we have to do is look around, to have a teenager say no to drugs and yes to education, a single mom who has 2 jobs that can STILL get her kids to soccer practice, or a married couple of 60 years that still love each other like the day they met. THOSE are real miracles, and it doesn't have anything to do with God, just people. Any thing other than the things that I mentioned (or anything along those lines) are juts magic tricks.

When a person recovers from a disease Christians will call it a miracle and believe that God answered their prayers. A doctor might say that 20% of such cases recover.
If the person dies Christians will say "God brought Aunt Minnie home. God's will be done."
Neither scenario is evidence of God.
Proper evidence would be something that cannot be misintpreted.

It wouldn't prove that God exists, but it would prove to me that some sort of supernatural power existed. Whether its the god of the Christians or some other god would still be indeterminant...unless the miracle was something like a burning bush scenario in which something actually says "I am the Lord your God, father of Jesus."

Id want the god to present itself. If it can do miracles and be all knowing, then certainly it could come up with some way to present itself to humans so we would know it exists. After all, if god created us, then god knows how we think. If all he wants is for us to love him so he can show us love, what is the problem with letting us know he exists in a way that the human brain will understand as being authentic?

I think it's a personal thing. I enjoy hearing other people telling me about their Godly experiences, but it isn't what makes me believe. When I began believing in God, I started to see why things were happening they way they were, and noticed how good my life was after accepting God and trying to live a life with Him. There is a change that comes from within when you believe in God, and while other people's experiences are great, it's up to you what makes you believe and have faith.

for me i beleive in one GOd. Not a christian god or a buddaist god but a good above them all who beleives in me for most.
I've had experiences which have signalled to me and that someone is there for my benefit and someone is there to make me happy and keep me alive! i still have many experiences today. These weren't healing or a a miracle but just little things.
Dont look for proof, just let the proof come to u!
