for those who read my last sheltie question, here is another one. i have read that this breed will fell sad if left alone... will they still be sad if they are left with another pet(dog)???

yes but do realize that shelties are herding dogs and need to be excercised and I have found the best is dog obedience and agility to be very good to keep them happy. they also like to herd people and other animals so make sure thye are compatible.

Dogs are like people. They want to be around others. Get another dog for your Sheltie to hang out with. Make sure they are compatible first though.

I think this goes for most dogs. We have always had a two-dog family because they do keep each other company. But you still have twice the exercising, twice the food and twice the attention to provide when you do get home. I recommend a spayed female/neutered male combo - these seem to work the best.
