Well, the egg got scrambled and the chicken got fried, so they both came at the same time.

The egg, because it contained a mutation from an earlier species, which resulted in the first chicken.

ok two completely different animals did each other and their genes completely fused into a brand new egg. the egg turned out to be a chick merged from the two.
