Love is something we should give freely without expecting anything in return. Is it hard to do? yes. Should we try? yes. If we could do that, We would step into what is known as "Uncontitional Love" Which only God can offer.
Yes, Its great to be loved but when you can truly love something or someone, I think it is a much better feeling..

Everything what we give should be well - thought of and limited, the same is love. Giving love we do expect to get it back, but it is not always like this. In order not to be left empty with no more love to give, we should be careful about it. The younger you understand it the better.

You can not give or receive love. Love is an emotion that works on the host brain and conciousness alone. You can ACT upon love or be acted upon by someone else under the influence of love, but that is not the same thing as trade in an emotion.

giving and getting?? hmmmm i dont think its equivalent. anything dealing with love is hard to measure y'know.but i agree with the diminati

They both are wonderful feelings, to give and receive love.
Since I know that I will never run out of love to give I will have to say for myself that getting love is better.
