I'm going to get a pair of Nautical Star tats, I'm just trying to figure out the placement. I thought about just below my elbows, but a friend, that I just met back up with, got his done there about a month ago, & me wanting to be unique, am having to think of a new spot for them. I was thinking about my ankles but not sure. I want to be able to "hide" them if necessary *& yes, you can hide them if they are below your elbow*. Any suggestions?
And if you're going to say, girls with tats look nasty or trashy, etc. Don't bother wasting your time typing out a response, because your opinion on whether or not you like chicks with tats was not asked. The opinions I'm looking for are on placement, not likes. If you don't like it, trust me, you won't ever see it!

How about on your back or chest...That way they can be hidden and then only seen by people that you really want to see them. And I love girls with tats. I have 3 of them myself!!

Well it depends how small it is because i remember having a teacher that had a tinkerbell tat on her ankle and nobody noticed...until we did this sit in a circle story time (back in the 6th grade) and somebody finally noticed her tat in her ankles......in my opinion i think the tat in the ankles is better because once they do noticed there going to be surprised and plus it will like cool not nasty

People may have thought girls looked "trashy" with tats about 40 years ago but this is the 21st century and everyone from nurses/doctors to lawyers have them these days.It's not a biggie anymore.
Hiding them is a personal preference.Your the one who has to live with where you place them so that should be up to you.

Just below the belt line on the hip.
Your artist is the best judge of
where your tat should be placed.
After all he is looking at the canvas.
On the hip is just easy to care for
and easy to see to enjoy. It is less
painful than some thinner areas.
With the way girls are wearing
their jeans now, you can show,
or hide it, depending on your
style in clothing.

though i dont feel that having nautical stars to begin with would make you very unique (regardless of the placement)... i think one above the back of each elbow would look okay... or one above each hip...
you should also think about whether or not you plan on getting more tattoos and in what area... like if you ever plan on getting a whole sleeve done you should make sure you'll be able to incorporate your stars in with it somehow...

I alwasy thought matching tats look cool on wrists. Like the bottom side though.

Ok I would go on or rather down my side... not quite to my waste. That would be pretty. Or on the side of your thigh. Both places can be hidden easily and would be pleasing to the eye when visible.
