Yes, especially since they're in puberty. That's way wrong.

For them being opposite sex I don't think they should share a room. If they were both sisters or both brothers then it would be much different. Is there any other rooms in the house that could be quickly turned into a bedroom?

If your parents could afford to put you in two different rooms it would be better since one is male and the other one is female. Sometimes parents cannot afford to spoil the kids though. Be happy that you have a bedroom to share with one brother. Some kids have to share a room with 3 siblings. And some others have to live in the living room.

i dont know if this is relevant but whenme and my brother were young we had to share a room and i worked out how to open the baby gate, so every morning id go downstairs and watch the television or something and leave my brother all alone in the room. Now im older i wouldnt like to share a room with him, i need my privacy. I think the children would benefit from having separate rooms but im no expert.

Yes, it is inappropriate. But, if the house only has 2 bedrooms, it certainly makes it difficult to avoid. If I were a single Mom, and in that situation, I would get a twin size bed for my daughter and stick it in my room.

It depends on the circumstances. If the number of bedrooms (besides the parents' room) is less than the number of siblings, or if you have guests in the home, then sorry, that may be your only option.

Once young people become teenagers, they really need to have their own bedroom.

I do not know the circumstances of the family, that may be the only bedroom available, but it it not a very good idea for many reasons.

To me, I wouldn't like to share it with my brother maybe a sister but not a brother. I just think it is unfair and a little weird too.

It may be unfair, but if your parents cannot afford another room, then I must say give thanks for small mercies. There are places in this world where some people have to do with one room for the whole family.

Some privacy would be good but there are some situations where one has to just 'live and let live.'

Not really, cuz they just have to learn to get along sometime. Also you didn't give us enough info.
how big the room is
how much you get a long
if there are any other rooms in the house available
depends on a lot

Nope, I'm 15 and have to share a room with my little 5 year old sister. It's not that big of a deal
