Really its too short a time span to have anything more than just the chorus. But

Sugar Sugar by the Archies
or
Pour Some Sugar On Me

What style of people are you? Playing a lot of swing dance music, rock, country?

I had a steel pan band song playing for the time of cake cutting b/c it was a tropical wedding and the cake was coconut with mango filling. All I remember was it was some remix of Hot Hot Hot with Lime in the Coconut.

No suggestions. The music usually stops when the cake is cut. Or the band/dj can play some quiet dinner-type music.

Lets Do It-Cole Porter
L-O-V-E-Nat King Cole
Love you Madly-Cake

Something thats super short, it doesnt take very long to do this part and they will end the song when its over, so you dont want to choose something that has a long intro, because thats the only part that you'll hear, so choose something short and snappy.

When I was getting married, I wanted the theme music from "Psycho" to play when I picked up the knife. But I was talked out of it. Stuffy ol' DJ.
