What your cat is doing is surely ordinary. My cat was once a similar way, he used to sleep in a corner for many of the day and purely meow for meals, yet now, he's often at my ft meowing each and every time i'm getting residing house from paintings. She's rubbing each and every thing because of the fact she is marking her territory with oil from her head. She purrs to coach affection for you.

Because she loves you and wants to let you know. It is just her way. When she does it reach down and pet her and scratch behind her ears. My dad has a cat that is infactuated with his feet he will rub his feet lick scratch purr on and even cuddle his feet but only when he gets off work and kicks his shoes off lmao. Some weird foot/cat fetish I guess. Have fun with ur new cat.

It's called affection. She's letting you know she loves and trust you. My cat does it all the time and even when I step out of the shower she's there to lick my still wet feet.
