Might have. Although more than likely not since Joseph's work was carpentry and there really was no reason to be out in the wilderness. Camping back then was a necessity and not a recreational past time.

You need to remember that cars were not around then And read your bible. They had to walk to all the places they had to get to. Like the manger Jesus was born in, the walk to Egypt and back, the tax collecting where they had to pay where their ancestry was (not necessarily where they lived), or even to weddings. And camp out was probably very common to survive.

he used to take a tent sometimes and camp out alone and sometimes with his little Buddy's.fishing and exploring.the desert , caves and rivers.and sometimes he would climb a tree or climb rocks and hills. and just having fun as most all boys will do .how do i know this. i have common sense and the spirit of God just told me.in that very quiet voice the spirit talks with me with.if you would ever wish to hear the voice of the spirit.ask of it in your heart and mind and soul with faith fevently .and listen for it.in other words Pray.
