I would recommend that you try this website where you can get quotes from different companies: http://insure-cheap.info/index.html?src=2YAejbkgHE68
RE :Getting a license increases car insurance?
When applying for a drivers license for the first time, i was wondering if it increases a person's car insurance; even if the person that is getting the license doesnt have a car, and is under the age of 18.

If you live at home and you have a license and you plan to or not to drive someone else's car like mom or dad's they need to inform their insurance company and yes they will pay more for a student driver or called driver under 21 because if your driving and have a accident and the insurance people don't know that you are a driver in their home they could hold your parents liable for the cost of the accident or their insurance will go way up, or the company can cancel the policy. Check your particular state law.

As far as the insurance company is concerned, every licensed driver who lives in the house must be listed on the policy because they are legally ABLE to drive and have access to the insured vehicles. My insurance would have increased up to $200 per month if my son had gotten his license before he moved out, just because he was a new driver under 25 and didn't qualify for the good student discount.

Almost sounds like a trick question. If you get a drivers license, it does not automatically increase your parents insurance premium. If you drive their vehicle(s), then it does. Should you drive and not be included on their policy, you are not insured. This gets you a ticket and possible loss of your license until you are 21. It also gets your parents a ticket for allowing an uninsured driver to operate their vehicle. If there is an accident, your parents insurance would not be required to pay.

I had a license before getting a car. Without a license, there is no need for insurance, because you shouldn't be driving.
Oh wait, I see what you are getting at. You are talking about them being on your policy. I don't think it will increase it, but you'd really have to talk to your agent about that one.
