depending on what you say--but generally, if he likes you he won't care as long as the comment doesn't affect his chances with you!
besides, saying stupid things can help break the ice a little bit more and helps show him that you're playful.

I asked a guy I like who is the lead singer in a band, wanna come home with me and he laughed, after having a few too many. The next day I apologized via text messaging that I was taking the walk of shame today after what I said. He wrote back a few days later saying maybe I can see you after I play Friday night. I just said as friends and he said yes, I didn't mean anything sorry if you thought different, see you at the next show.
I don't know if I blew it or if he may like me after all..he's really sweet and were older. Any comments are welcome.

It really depends on what it is you said. But in the vast majority of cases, address the issue to the guy. Explain and apologize.

You basically have to show your true personallity and how much of a great girl you are. Trust me if you do this correctly he will forget all about that stupid thing you might have said.

Btw is that stupid thing serious? or just little?

It's called making an amend. You simply tell him you were wrong in what you said and that you hope you don't do it again.
When we say "stupid" things it shows we are sorry examples of humanity.Admitting we were wrong since our behavior was, in fact, sorry.

Depends on what you said and how you offended him by what you said. Ask him how you can make it all better, he will tell you.
