it would be best to take it to the vet and get it checked out. if it is any kind of infection it's better to catch it as quickly as possible, especially in the eye.

I read in a book that when a cat's eye turns blue it means it is becoming deaf. There is also a possibility that your cat might have injured it's eyes somehow. This could be from a fight, a strong hit in the eye or something else your cat might have done. Your cat will tell you if it is in pain by either purring when no one's even petting it or paying attention to your cat. Purring is a sign of enjoyment and happyness, but it can also be a sign of stress. If your cat is developing the habit of unusually hiding and doesn't like to be touched, it may be caused by an illness, but this is more common with diseases. I am not trying to worry you with this answer, I am also in a cat crisis right now. Like everyone says, I suggest taking your cat to the vet. The vet will examine its eyes carefully and give you the facts. If your cats eyes are cloudy and also begin to develope puss or discharge, his/her eyes were probably injured. I wish you the best of luck, and don't worry because cats have a special sense of emotions. And if you're worried the cat might become uncomfortable also. Keep your cat in doors for a few days and, ofcourse, don't touch it's injured eye, report to the vet all that you know, and follow the cat treatment. Best of luck!

See if she will let you put your hand near her eye... if she turns away and fights you, that is one indicator... another indicator is if she sits very quietly on her own, purring.
Purring, when not associated with being stroked, is one of the ways a cat will comfort itself when it is in extreme pain.
Of course, neverminding such indicators, I highly recommend you take the cat to a vet, anyway, just to have the eye checked out.
I had a cat who, when it was a kitten, got into a fight with another of my cats. The one cat scratched the kitten and tore his cornea... although, all I saw was a cloudy eye. It began to swell, so I took the kitten to the vet. He gave me eye medicine, but the damage had already begun to spread... the eye continued to swell, and ultimately had to be removed completely.
It had seemed like such a minor wound at first... The kitten got along without that eye, but it did affect his depth perception somewhat.
So, please, do take your kitty to the vet and be on the safe side.

The vet is the only way to go,,,,, If you are low on funds there are even veterinarians that will accept a payment plan The people here will tell you anything you want to hear for points. Hopefully your cat just bumped itself and all will be fine they are a very resilient creature.

I suggest a quick trip to the vet, it could be something serious. An infection in the eye could cause the lose of an eye or even the lose of life if the infection spreads to the brain.

It's hard to tell when a cat is in pain, because they really hide it very well. When in pain cats will typically withdraw from human contact and find a quiet place to "lick their wounds." It really does sound like a cateract or glaucoma, in which case she's probably not in a lot of pain. Call your vet on Monday and see what he thinks. :-) Good luck!

Take her to a vet, A.S.A.P. That could be a sign that she's caught an illness of some sort. Don't panic, just take her to a vet and they should know what to do. Be sure to keep up with vaccinations, they're worth the trouble.

Try calling your animal hospital. Look in the phone book. When I was younger I called a 1 800 number for my hamster. They gave me really good advice.
There should be a emergency animal hotline in your phone book!

Just go to vet to wash it out. You will probably get a bottle of stuff to clean her eye out at home also. Petsmart also has eye wash solution that I used on my kitten with pink eye.
