Actually I had heard on a science program that lizards developed the egg first. Chickens developed over time. So the Egg came first.

The egg because of Evolution. The non-chicken mated with another non-chicken and through the genetic patterns and mutations of the DNA it resulted in the egg of the chicken. The first Chicken was first an egg.

Somebody asked this question maybe like 15 years ago and until now nobody knows the answer.
In my opinion I would say the chicken beacuse when God created Adam and Eve he created them adults. Besides, an egg needs a chicken to sit on it so, I think the chicken came first.

Chicken - then the chicken laid the eggs. Just like Adam and Eve came first and then came Cane and Abel!

Ok, chickens evoloved from somthink or another. An egg would be first, two animals mated and they created a chicken egg..and so on and more....

lol, it's a question that really has no answer...
If the chicken came first, then how did it hatch?
And if the egg came first, where was the chicken it came from?
It's like a looping question... if you get what I mean.
