here it is...............

Plain Omelet

4 eggs
edible fat
Salt and pepper

beat the egg whites separately, until stiff: and the yolks, until thick and lemon-colored, adding 4 tbsp. of hot water, salt and pepper, a little at a time. then fold into whites: lightly grease sides and botton of frying pan and heat. Pour in eggs mixture and cook over slow fire until it set and puffs, and the botton is light brown. If an oven is available, put omelet in and brown top lightly. do not overcook as it toughens and shrinks omelet. Loose sides with a spatula: cut gently across center and fold over. serve at once...

"You can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs."

An old saying, but true on the literal level as well. Basically, you scramble the eggs in a mixing bowl, then pour the mixture into a skillet, allowing it to form almost like an egg pancake. However, while the egg is "firm" enough to maintain that shape, you can still flip the sides over after adding the "stuffing," which can be ham, cheese, or whatever else you feel like putting in there. I think it's the "Denver omelette" that has such things as green peppers inside.

I'm sure you can find many recipes online - enjoy breaking some eggs! ; )

i usually use smoked ham. i also like to add some shredded cheddar cheese, green peppers, bacon, mushrooms, and onions to mine.

i chop all my veggies and precook them for a few minutes in a lightly oiled skillet, and then i set them aside. i also precook my bacon and crumble it, too.

i crack two eggs in a bowl. then, i add in a teaspoon of water to the eggs and whip them up with a fork until it's all mixed together.

i add a littlle butter to a cast iron skillet and let it melt.

i keep the fire on medium low heat and pour the eggs in the pan. i make sure the eggs spread all around the skillet in a nice round circle.

i add a little salt and pepper to the eggs, and i let the eggs set and get firm. i make sure the eggs are not sticking to the pan by running the spatula around and under them.

after they start browning a little on the bottom, i sprinkle the cheese all over the omelet, and then add the other veggies and meat on one side of the omelet.

after the cheese starts to melt and the omelet is fully cooked, i flip the side that doesn't have any toppings on it, half-way over to the other side. (in a half moon shape).

then, i take it out of the skillet and set it on a plate. i sometimes add some chopped fresh tomatoes to it too.

my way is really good everyone loves them.
k you take say 3 eggs whip them in a bowl, put a dash of tabasco sauce and a dash of worcestershire sauce, add about a tbsp of milk in and mix again. then warm up the pan and add a bit of butter. put the egg mix in the pan, spread it so it fills th/e pan. wait till the egg is pretty cooked so it's not that runny anymore then add the ham (any kind doesnt matter but it needs to be small cubes.) i add mushrooms and then put the cheese on top , put all that on only half of the pan not on both sides. wait till the cheese is mostly melted then flip the sidee that you didn't put anything on over the side that's full of stuff. then flip gently and it's done
enjoy

Omelet in a Bag

This is for about 5 people, but adjust supplies to make for 1 person or somewhere inbetween. Enjoy :)

10 eggs
1 cup ham, chopped
1 cup bacon, crumbled
2 cups cheese, grated
1 cup tomatoes, chopped
1 cup hash browns (purchased and thawed)
5 servings 5 omelettes

1. Have everyone write their name on a quart-size ziploc freezer bag with permanent marker.

2. Crack 2 eggs (large or extra-large) into the bag (not more than 2) shake to combine them.

3. Put out a variety of ingredients such as:.
4. cheeses, ham, bacon, onion, green pepper, tomato, hash browns, etc.

5. Each person adds prepared ingredients of choice to their bag and shake. Make sure to get the air out of the bag and zip it up.

6. Place the bags into rolling, boiling water for exactly 13 minutes. You can usually cook 6-8 omelletes in a large pot. For more, make another pot of boiling water.

7. Open the bags and the omelette will roll outeasily.

Serve with a side of toast and a glass of juice. :)

there is really no recipe for this just a method.
beat eggs, grate cheese, dice ham, any kind but not to thick, onions, peppers.
either saute the diced items or add them to the eggs after you have started to cook them and then finally add the cheese, salt and pepper to taste before or after makes no difference
