I have a 12-year old cat who dribbles when she is purring. I have an old towel on my bed and make her sit on that to drip on!
If it is unusual for your cat, to drool, it could be due to a mouth problem. Vet for her, I think.

If your cat has never drooled before, then this is an indication of a problem. Take the cat to the vet. It's probably a tooth infection. But drooling can also be a sign of poisoning or other serious health issues.

My cat drools when she hasn't seen me in a while... Like if I spend the night away from home. She gets excited when I come home and she'll start to drool when I pet her. I also had a previous cat whose drool would drip constantly when I pet her. It's nothing to be alarmed about unless it is a mucous-like hanging drool. Then I would be concerned.

No way of knowing over the internet. When is she drooling? All the time? Only when burrowing?
If you believe there's a problem, give the vet a call.

Could be a number of things, tooth infection, throat infection, and sometimes when I pet my cat she drools a lot.

a cat drooling can also be a sign of serious health problems. one such problem is feline aids. yes, it's true cat's can get a feline version of the auto immune deficieny we humans know as aids. i would take the cat in for a check up. if nothing is wrong with the cat then at least you would have the piece of mind.

My cat always drools when excited, when i pick him up when i get home from work, he drools down my back (yuk), but its nothing too gross, if i could catch something, i would probably already have caught it.
sometimes he does that beethoven thing, where he shakes his head and drool goes flying, lol. dont worry about it!

why are you asking questions on here and not driving to the nearest vet?
And lordy what silly answer you got from some people who just by reading one sentence know your cat is perfectly fine!
Sorry to be snappy but i just don't understand why you wouldn't be calling (at least) the vet!
