I was pulled over by a PA state cop for speeding. But looking closely on the ticket, the date that I "sped" is in correct. It says "08" instead of "07". So technically I wasn't speeding in 2008. Who do I talk to get this taken of? Preferably not a lawyer because I don't want to pay for anything.

it does not make any difference, it's like a typo. the court doesn't care. if you want to avoid points being assessed against your driving record (to prevent an increase in insurance rates), talk to the district attorney about an amendment to a lesser offense; hire an attorney; ask the judge to attend driving school which may keep the points from being assessed. Any way you go, you'll be out some dough.

The error will probley not amount to much. Dont put your hopes on getting off because the wrong year or what ever was put there. Your best chances are just to go to court and fight the ticket out right and hope that the cop doesnt show up and that you can convince the judge to dismiss the error

An inadvertent error such as writing the wrong year WILL NOT invalidate the speeding ticket. If you were speeding, pay the fine.

The mistake was you speeding, what is written on the ticket won't matter if the police officer testifies, documents are only evidence in fiduciary crimes or when the writer is unavailable due to death to introduce them.

Suck it up and pay your ticket. You were speeding, you got caught. Stop trying to get out of it and pay! This won't be dismissed for the "wrong date". Idiot!

Since you WERE speeding in '07, you'll still have to pay.
