It's neither good nor bad, it's completely neutral and the type of answer I would nominate as "b u l l s h i t response of the year", but there is one upside associated with a "maybe"...it isn't a "no".

I think it's good, but if you broke up with him, for a good reason, dont get back together.

It means he is not sure, he is confused about what he wants. Give him his time and space and if you see its not going no where move on.
