it doesn't quite make sense to me. If God created mankind and they are his children, why would there be a place where they are tortured?
My parents created me, and if i do something bad, they forgive.

God doesn't create people, broken condoms do.

The real torment of hell will be eternal separation from God. The only people who will endure this will be those who have chosen it by separating themselves from God. You can't accidentally end up in hell. No one else can send you there. If you want to be with God, you will be.

To continue your analogy, at some point you will be an adult, and you will make choices about the kind of relationship you will have with your parents. If you decide for some reason to live a life that excludes them completely, you would miss out on the joy of your relationship with them. It would not be their fault, or a punishment they built for you to give you guilt or make you miserable.

You are blessed to have parents who forgive. God is like that too. If you turn to him, he responds with love and forgiveness.

The concept of hell is a misunderstanding in scripture, that has been cleared up through modern-day revelation from God.

Hell eg "fire and brimstone" or "eternal burning" are concepts of the suffering that people feel when they are disconnected from God, or when they have been disloyal to their own feelings of right and wrong (ie conscience).

God did not create hell... but he did create beings (us) who inately need light and goodness. When we are separated from that, it feels like hell.

In eternity, God's children will not suffer indefinitely. Modern day revelation says that ALL people (except for a very few, who absolutely hate light and goodness) will inherit a "kingdom of glory" - See "Heaven and Eternal Reward" - http://www.mormon.org/mormonorg/eng/basic-beliefs/heavenly-father-s-plan-of-salvation/heaven-and-eternal-reward

There is a hell in the bible, because God isn't as loving as most Christians would have you believe. Slowly but surely, these false religions are being proven untrue, by science. For me though, the day when they are finally gone cannot come soon enough!

Hell is for the devil and his angels (who rebelled against God -- trying to "take over") and for people who reject God's gift of eternal life.

The things is, God does NOT want you, me, or any other human to go to hell. But hell is what we deserve -- where we HAVE to go -- if we sin because God is just and holy. However, because he does NOT want us to go to hell, he gave His Son to the punishment for our sin, and if we accept that gift, we WON'T go to hell.

For example: A King has pronounced a punishment of death for treason. His daughter commits treason. The king chooses to die in her place, taking her punishment, and allowing her to live.

The kingdom would not have been just or safe without the rule of punishment by death. The king could not just "forgive and forget" his daughter's treason because then the people would know he was NOT a just, fair, or consistent king.

Hope this helps -- and makes some sense! It's not the best analogy, but it was all I could come up (and I even borrowed part of it) with at the moment. Take care!

God does give us forgiveness but we can not wantonly go out and sin. Satan himself was an arch angel before he wanted not to be like God but to be Him.God knows we are human and we make mistakes but the question here is if we learn from them. We have to always ask for His forgiveness when we sin. Do your parents not become a little less forgiving if you keep doing the same wrong thing over and over again. The only thing that will truly condemn you is not believing that Jesus dies for your sins and your bill is paid in full by His blood.

You're right, God did create mankind, but he also gave us the freedom of choice. People don't always make choices that are good, and there are negative temptations in this world. Sometimes people choose to do bad things, so there are consequences to those actions. It is said that even a murderer will be forgiven if he/she truly repents and asks forgiveness. It also has to do with balance, good and bad. There is heaven, so there is hell too. Sad, but I guess that's what makes the world go round.

I hope this answers your question.

because there is no god and there is no hell. if there were a god there wouldn't be so much pain and sorrow in this world. and if there were a god, some people wouldn't get the chance to scare others by creating false stories of heaven and hell to get what they want.

Initially, God created Hell for the demons. The only reason any human goes to Hell is because they refuse to admit guilt and repent for their wrong doing. They refuse to turn from their own ways to God's ways.

God has forgiven everyone. However, you cannot force someone to accept forgiveness. For example, let's say a stranger hits you across the face. You say, "I forgive you." But the stranger laughs and says, "You forgive me? I didn't do anything wrong." You then spend a lifetime trying to show that stranger what they did is wrong. But instead, the stranger says, "I didn't do anything wrong by hurting you. It's your own fault."

Jesus died on the cross for everyone. This means everyone can be forgiven. But not everyone will accept forgiveness. Those who goto Hell reject Jesus and forgiveness. They say, "I didn't do anything wrong. I don't need forgiveness." They then accuse or blame God for being wrong or evil.

This refusal to admit wrong is the way of the Devil. The Devil is set against God. As a result, those who follow the ways of the Devil follow him all the way to Hell.

What can else can God do? If He lets them into Heaven, they will continue to plague everyone with their evil. They refuse to listen to God who says, "You are wrong, repent and live." If they were allowed into Heaven, they will still refuse to listen. So, God sends them to Hell. In Hell, they are being punished for all the evil they committed.

You must understand that God forever wants them to repent. However, they will forever refuse to repent. Instead, they spend all eternity cursing God for sending them there. As a result, they are eternally punished for their unending evil.

God is completely just and fair in His judgments. He doesn't let anyone sin freely without suffering punishment. The only reason anyone is forgiven is because Jesus suffered our punishment on the cross. Let me say that again, Jesus suffered OUR punishment. Because He did that, we can be forgiven.

That is so important to know in truth. Jesus suffered and died for your sins. That is true love. Who would ever do something like that for anyone?

God created all, that is true, but not all are called children of God.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become children of God, to the ones believing into His name,
Joh 1:13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God.

1Jn 3:1 See what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.

1Jn 3:10 By this the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Everyone not practicing righteousness is not of God; also the one not loving his brother.

God has forgiven His people, His children, that work was already done on the cross by Christ. Hell is a place of eternal judgment for those who are not God's children, who are not saved and not forgiven.
