Ok after you interview for a job and about 3 days later.. they call 2 of your references to ask about you, does this mean they are most likely going to hire you or are really considering you for employment?

It's definitely a good sign. Employers don't generally waste effort on job candidates they aren't interested in. But don't count your chickens before they hatch... you don't have the job until they offer you the position *and* you accept. So, keep applying for other jobs.

Good luck!

I would think they are going to hire you. My friend used me as a reference, and her now employer called me to ask questions about her. Of course she got the job.

If they call your references, they are definitely considering you seriously, or they wouldn't bother. That doesn't mean you have the job nailed, since they might be checking references on another candidate also. But it's a good sign.

Good luck.
