***************HINT******************

If your boyfriend is in the military, then he can get a gate pass!!! Airlines allow military personnel escorting ANYONE to go through the checkpoint!

If he's not in the military, then unfortunately no. Now, you can always come up with some great *** excuse that you need an escort, and have a doctor sign an official document. Then the airline cannot refute that.

Those are the only two ways to do your Rachel and Ross make out session at the gate!! Good luck

As far as I know, the only people allowed to be past security and you dont work there, is if you are direct family (spouse, mother, father, brother, sister) of a soldier who is leaving to basic training or back to Iraq from R&R leave. But I would think if you went and talked to someone in charge and asked and had a good enough reason they might let him go out there.

Most of the airlines will issue a "gate pass" if you are in a wheel chair, and he is "assisting you." Yes, it's easy to fake that you need an airport wheelchair, you don't need to prove it. However, the issuing of the gate pass is up to the agent at the counter. Get one in a pissy mood, or doesn't like you, and forget it.

He will not be allowed to come to the departure gate. He will be able to come with you as far as the security checkpoint. Only passengers with tickets can go past the security checkpoint.

No, he wont be able to go past the security checkpoint. He would if you were an unacompanied minor but I highly doubt you are so sorry, I guess you will have to have your cheesy movie-like makeout scene before your stuff gets scanned for guns and explosives (how romantic!)

You have to have a ticket/boarding pass to get beyond security. He may as well drop you at the curb, he could only wait with you while you check in.

I work in security and I will let you know that no one without a ticket and an ID that matches will get through the security check station. So say your goodbye's there.(What's this ma'am!)

No, he won't get past security. Security is between the front door and the gates.
