I got the surname of one of the people wrong. Jet2 said I would have to pay a £15 charge, I said I would pay it. I called twice and spoke to 2 people about the problem neither mentioned an increasing charge. There were 2 separate flights, the outbound was not affected as I got the passenger surname right only the return was affected. They told me that I had 4 hours before the return flight which was at midnight on 4th August to call and change the name. I didn't have any money in my account so I said I would pay in a few days. They said that would be fine.
I was in Spain when I got a call from the person who tried to pay the charge. They said it had gone up to £87 as I had been charged hourly for not paying on time. The supervisor there called and said he had listened to the tape and the person on the phone mentioned the charge and that it might go up. He didn't mention it to me. My sister paid it and on her statement it said £97 had been taken out.

I know they are not allowed to do this. They knew that once that passenger was in Spain they would have to pay the charge as they could not return unless they did. Basically we were made to pay under duress and on top of this the first day of my holiday was ruined by phone calls from England from my sister about what Jet2 were going to do. Can I also get compensation or refunds on top of getting the charge back?
Where can I get legal advice about this?
