this is the worst section of yahoo answers? i sure do. and its becuase christians and atheists are fighting aobut everything. i think we should just leave each otehr alone, we can believe whatever we want to......right? athiests get p!ssed when christians ask a question about God, and then christians get p!ssed when an athiest ask a question about why there is no God or something.

why are the athiests on here if they do not want to talk about God and religion. but there is no need to insult others believes I agree.

Kay Kay calm down. It is not all about you honey. It is all about God and what he does. God gave free will. It is better to say what is on your mind then to go on thinking something you thought was the best. Not saying that either or is valid. Is this personal or just a point of view? You are reading more into this than what it really is. Do you have to answer every question? Insulting and critical questions do you have to read them? Just because one says it is this or that does it make it so? Tell me children, do they fight one minute and be friends the next? Jesus is a friend and so should we.God kept nothing from us he is a friend,so we should show ourselves friendly. Why does this category exist? To tell the story of life,between God and man. Does it really matter what is said as long there is not a war or fight? In the end we are still all made in the image of God. Man is just upset because he can not get his own way. I would think it would be somewhat entertaining. We laugh and I know that God laughs as well. We all think we know. The question is do we really? We think it is about us...but it is all about him (Jesus) he is the super star of this story. Man may have the power to believe what he or she likes. But God is the all knowing and all seeing power that plans every mans way. Be it good or bad.

I have often thought that many of the atheists who regularly visit the religion and spirituality section must be dealing with pretty intense internal struggles. I mean, why would you even look here if you really and truly have no belief at all? So I say, let them come. I believe many of the atheists here actually do have a small flame of faith burning deep inside. I suppose many are just looking for companionship in their struggle to extinguish that flame. Instead maybe some will find reason to renew their faith.

Everyone can believe in what they want. But when people argue in this subject it more about who right and who wrong or trying to make someone believe in one of the other facts. Just be friends and be happy if some has to go to church respect them for that and if the other person doesn't have to do any rituals or anything, then respect that. You are who you are and nothing with will change how you will think except you!

I haven't looked at all the sections on yahoo answers, but I'd say it's definitely a section that is highly misused. People post questions that aren't really questions, but instead thinly veiled attempts to confirm their misspelled opinions. Religion has few firm answers, so the mere existence of this category would encourage debate, not fact-based exchanges.

While there is a good deal of bickering in this forum, there is also alot of information flowing back and forth between believers and non-believers.
As an atheist, I find it interesting how those that are fundamentalist religious believers use the ancient dogma of their religion to justify all sorts of things. I find it even more interesting how individuals can believe these dogmas without even the slightest bit of proof. Particularly those that, although quite well educated in how we can prove that the world works, choose to ignore what they can see and believe what they would rather believe is the truth.

I have never understood why fellow Christians show anger towards an unbeliever. Do they honestly think that being mean or mad or rude will win ANYONE to Christ? No! Christ showed His love to the unbelievers, and won over even the most hard-hearted non-believers. Christians (me included) should learn to always show love and patience as much as possible. Living by example is the best witness of all.
