The green leafy thing is...a green leaf. The mascots play on the company's logo, which depicts an apple and two bunches of grapes with leaves coming from them. The leaf character is "quoted" on saying on Fruit of the Loom's website that a leaf is not a fruit, but it can be attached to one.

I think the green leafy one is the leaves of the grape vine.
