Some groups in America are using this fear to make money selling books that are no more informative then a Jihadist handbook.

What do you think about people like this?

Do you think this is a potential threat to our National Security?

I know all muslims are not terrorists.

I think people and groups like you speak of (oh and wink I read your article about the group you are refering to in US that wants to amend the constitution to ban isllam, close mosques and depot muslims.

That group of Americans are more of a threat to our freedom than the terrorists. 5 million muslims non registered and only 2 million that attend mosques. yes you are correct a threat and a half to ban people who have lived decades in us peacefully.

one thing you didnt mention is ausralia is leading the right path to fight terrorism. they government uses sedation laws and one public figure i think their president or whatever spoke up about a radical cleric in aussie land and he said those who wish to obey our laws are welcome to be citzens and those who dont may leave. the moderate clerics ousted the main radical one and that rocks. go aussies!!!!

we need straight honest talk and freedom.

I dont care what religion someone is as long as they obey our laws.

BTW i disagree with the BS numbers some cite as the number who are "potential terrorists"

all religions have fought in the name of their god. they use it as an excuse to kil. how many christains remember the crusades?

enough said about that

take out the terrorist leaders the rest will fall in line. basic tactics. keep it easy, and not fall into the wrong path. hae begets hate.

the surge is going better than ever now. because militant groups are now aligning with US and iraq armys. the al-qaeda is on the run. then look at tribal area. most these guys hate taliban. taliban and al qaeda rape their children and kidnap them also. they kill the young men. if paki army goes into tribal area the tribes will rise up help the paki army. but tribal areas still thinks paki army is corruppt so it will take time and correct moves to prove they are one tribes side.

most peopledont know al-qaeda in iraq pays equal to 200 us dollars for an iraq to throw a grenede at other iraqis. thats sick when a kid who wants to feed his family chooses to kill his own countrymen just so they can eat and also to not be killed by terrorists

most people dont understnd terrorists kill inocnt people so that people lose belief in their government and change to the side of the terrorists. 60 countrys? I think under attack at this moment from terrorists,

this is a human flaw not a religious flaw.

kill the bad guys. then the peacefull people will thank you.

I am still troubled by the simple fact that there has been pathetically little outrage from the so called moderate Muslims about the actions of the radicals. If a group of people started blowing up other people in the name of Christianity, you can believe that the Christians would be tripping over each other to be the first to disavow such a group.

But now, approaching the sixth year since the 9/11 attack, I am still waiting for the outrage from the good Muslims. I am told there are millions of good Muslims in America. Well, why are they so quiet? If Islam does not teach that one should kill all infidels, that it is not their intention to take over the world by jihad, then why are there so few Muslims disavowing the radicals who say and do these things?

Do I think all Muslims are terrorists? No. Do I think most Muslims support terrorism? I hope not but it sure seems like it.

No

I feel the same about those people who put out books that Holocaust never happen or Bush did 9/11. Disgust!
To make up facts to sell book or hate for people.

No The threat to National Security is people are in denial of the threat facing this nation of the radical Muslims and using that effort to breed hate towards those who are trying to stop them.

No I don't believe all Muslims are terrorists; however, I do believe there are more terrorists than people are willing to admit. I know that the quran allows for and calls for terrorism. Polls have shown that many Muslim men support the actions of the terrorists, about 25% in the USA do, 1/3 in France do and the numbers are much higher in predominately Muslim countries. If there were only a few terrorists, they would gone by now. islam is a threat. Muslims like OBL have come right out and said it, they've killed to prove it and for some reason we are still debating whether or not Muslims want to kill us. The Muslims that don't want to kill us follow a watered down version of the quran, are afraid of retaliation from other Muslims or agree with the terrorists' actions.

God Bless.

Some would say categorizing all Muslims as Terrorist is unfair, but I think until Muslims world wide stand up and denounce the Killing of men women and children in the name of their religion, Then yes I consider them all Terrorist. Don't you think if a bunch of Radical Christians were running around the world killing in the name of Jesus Christ that a true Christian would fight back, speak out and never let their religion be hijacked. I for one can not except the excuse moderate Muslims give for not fighting back which is because they are afraid of retribution. This is unacceptable!

No , I don't . But I'm also not blind . It's truly a worldwide sad state of affairs right now . All reputable research polling indicates that 10-15% of Muslims follow the Radical Islamic ideology . The same ideology that the Terrorists follow . There's over 1.3 billion Muslims , so that means there are over 100 million Radical Islamist Muslims following the same ideology as the terrorists .
Then consider the rest of the research polling . It indicates that between 25-40% of Muslims 'sympathize' with the terrorists . Now we're talking about between 300-500 million or more Muslims who 'sympathize' with the terrorists . That's reality . And that reality is more than a great concern , it's monumental .
It is wrong to hate all Muslims , but given the numbers of followers of Radical Islamists and their fellow sympathizers one can understand some over-reaction . But then one must also consider that even with the real numbers of Radical Islamists and their sypathizers. .. .. . . it's difficult to say that folks are over-reacting . In fact , we may have waited too long to 'react' in the first place .
This IS a religious war . Oh sure , we don't consider it that , but what's more important is more than 500 million Muslims DO . People can talk all day long about how we have to change 'hearts and minds' , but that would take decades and generations . And I don't believe we have that much time left before they succeed in their evil tasks . Give 500 million people or even 100 million people , the time to figure out how to annihilate our country , and they will succeed long before 'generations' or even decades pass away .
The situation is extremely dangerous and extremely urgent . And what's even more alarming is that no one , yep , no one has a solution for this worldwide problem . The 'hearts and minds' advocates are fooling themselves into believing that we have the convenience of decades or generations to accomplish that goal .
There is no 'man' with a solution , but there will be a 'man' who says he does . And the Bible tells us that man will be a liar , and Satan himself . The world will be in such a state of confusion and yearning for someone with a solution that the people will fall for this 'false savior' .
The only ONE who can solve this problem is Jesus Christ Himself .

Of course, the vast majority of Muslims ARE NOT terrorists. But, the vast majority of terrorists are Muslims.

Anyone who believes that acts of terror are a good way to promote their ideals...is a threat to everyone's security.

Of course all Muslims are not terrorists...over the years I have had the privilege to work closely with a number of Muslim American physicians of middle eastern descent who have been productive and loyal American citizens for decades. They abhor the violent tactics of the extremists who use their religion as a ploy to justify innate murderous pathologies. They pose no threat to our national security as they have a vested interest in our nation existing as a peaceful, prosperous and just union and in my assessment they deserve the same respect as any law abiding, loyal natural born citizen.

Absolutely not!

But I think that the vast majority of violent extremists trying to attack Western civlization claim Islam as their religion, and claim to be acting to further it.

They are a small minorlty (I hope!) of Muslims but a huge percentage of the terrorist problem.

I do see signs that some moderate Muslims are speaking out against this. Hey, it's a start.

Of course not. Just as I don't think all Protestants are members of the Ku Klux Klan or that all Irish Catholics are members of the Irish Republican Army.
BTW, the Jihadist handbook you refer to actually exists. It's entitled "Milestones". The author is Seyyid Qutb, one of the co-founders of the Muslim Brotherhood. That book is to the Salafist Jihadists what "Mein Kampf" was to the Nazis. It's been translated into English and only takes up 160 pages.
