(I just posted this in mens health, but wanted to see more answers)

For the last month or so when I have been going to the bathroom (#2) I have been seeing blood. Well for the first 2 weeks I was like okay this is weird but nothing to get worked up about, and then I started to have pain in that area throughout the day. Well I started to smoke pot to help ease the pain, but now its gotten really excruciating. And yesterday was the first time I noticed I even had blood in my boxers, so now its not only when I go to the bathroom. I saw some previous questions on this subject and some people mentioned colon cancer and I started freaking the heck out!! I'm 19 if that helps. Well I want to go to the doctor but can someone tell me what there exactly going to do. If there going to be doing something crazy then are there any over the counter drugs that would help. I'm like literally in pain throughout the day. Thanks.

And if anyone has gone to the doctor for this before. How "extensive" was the check up??

Get to the doctor!! This could be serious, and you want to catch the problem as early as possible. Don't worry about what the doctor is going to do! You're 19, not 4. At first I thought it might be hemorhoids, but now it sounds like it could be a lot more serious. I don't want to scare you, but I DO want to scare you into getting to a doctor tomorrow. Whatever your doctor does, it may be a little uncomtortable, but it won't kill you!! All men half to have an anal exam. He'll just put a gloved finger or small camera up there. It's a lot smaller than a penis!!! The important thing is that he'll be able to treat the problem. And possibly save your life!! GO!! :)

I doubt that you have colon cancer. you probably have a bad case of hemoroids and each time you go to the bathroom you tear them. That is where the blood is coming from. Try Preparation H and do go to the doctor. He will probably want to do a colonoscopy and you should have it done. It is painless, you will be sedated. The worst part of the colonoscopy is the getting ready for it. You will be given some stuff to drink that will cleanse your bowels and colon out. Otherwise, it is a painless and simple procedure.

They will probably do a rectal exam and ask you about your bowel history. They might order a colonoscopy for you. This is a test where they look thru your colon with a camera. They will put you to sleep, so it won't hurt. The worst part about it is the prep the night before. It's basically a lot of laxatives that will clean out your system. Good luck with everything.

Dude, get to the doctor.

Short of you putting things in there that could tear the skin, this shouldn't be happening and is most likely a condition of something serious. Not necessarily deadly, but still serious.

Regardless of what it is, the doctor will give you pain medication stronger than what you can buy over the counter and stronger than the pot.

Good luck to you.

You might have hemmorhoids that are bleeding. Go see a doctor if this is it or that you are having another problem. The color of the blood gives an idea if it is by the anus or futher up. There are medications for the pain of hemmorhoids that you can get at a drug store.
