No, and here's why: it's against modern day etiquette rules to do so. Putting salt and/or pepper on food prior to tasting it is considered a huge insult to the cook. And if you must had salt and/or pepper to your food, try to do so without drawing too much attention to what you're doing; the more you add, the more the cook will wonder if their cooking is just that bad.

All I can say is sometimes. It depends on the dish. Like if it's french fries, I know I want vinegar and pepper. If it's a creamy pasta, chances are there's no pepper. I add pepper to salads too. But generally I don't add more salt to anything, it's already in there.

Actually I am making a vegetable soup with brown rice as I am writing this. If I do not add a little then everyone on the table will put too much. I add it in the form of a chicken bullion.
I prefer it without salt but in the long run what everyone else will add will still be higher than what I put in.

I do add salt and pepper to baked potatoes, veggies and eggs (that's all I can think of right now). I always taste casseroles, soups and other such stuff first. Meats, well I usually cook them with lightly added salt, pepper and garlic powder which is enough for me. I leave it open enough for others to add salt and pepper (or whatever) if they choose to.

I only add Real Sea Salt if I know it is a food that needs that extra kick. I am not a fan of pepper.

I never add salt, but occasionally add pepper, especially if it's a dish I have regularly, and cannot see enough pepper in it.

No. I don't add salt to anything. Everything in nature has enough salt already, why compound the problem by adding more, which is not good for you.

sometimes when i am preparing food, just to add the flavor, but now that i am living with my diabetic grandfather i wait until i fix my own plate then add salt and pepper

no, i take a sample taste first, then i would have an idea of whether to add any salt or peppers to it or not. :)
