I had a cycling accident yesterday and busted my hip and leg up pretty nicely. I had no fractures and didn't want to waste 6 hours waiting in E/R. A friend gave me a couple of hydrocodones for the pain. I may have to submit to drug test on Thursday or Friday. I just didn't think about the fact that these pills might show up! I have never taken these at any other time except once years ago for oral surgery. Any ideas to ensure that I didn't screw myself by not thinking!!?

Don't believe the NHguy: in the first place these lab people aren't stupid, you have a half dozen things in your urine that are suppose to be there. If you drinkl that much water to flush your system then it's going to show. You'll have to wait for a few hours without drinking any water, then pee again, it'll be tested again, if the waxy casts and other items still do not show up like they're suppose to, then you'll wait again.
You'll be given three chances for a probation test or court test, a job interview may be just one chance.
After the third test for the court your judged guilty for drugs, that's all she wrote Bub.

If you have a doctors script, you can explain your situation and get by, maybe but, remember these are private places and they do not have to conform.

Don't even think you can fool us guys in the labs, we know whats going on, if we feel good and you've got a good story we might buy it, if not, your dead meat. I've seen this happen more then once.

Sorry my man, you're definitely going to pop positive for an opiate in your system. You have two choices.

1) Tell the truth, the same story you just mentioned.
2) Find a head shop (hippie store that sells glass bowls and bob marley posters) and buy a detox-drink. Read the instructions and follow them before you take your test. Basically it involves drinking an insane amount of water prior to taking your pee test. But the shake adds back the color and acid-PH levels needed to make it seem like real pee.

Good luck

The half-life for hydrocodne is 3.8 hrs so depending on how much you took and how often you may be clear. Please don't drink gallons of water, this practice can lead to water intoxication and death.
