My sister is 12 and my mum loves its when my sister makes her stuff last year my sister made a scrap book it had photos of our faimly mum loves it and she has it on the mantal above the fire and shows everyone i think thats the best prezzie and its true when mums say the best prezzie is a homemade one because you know lots of thought and love went in to it.

Something as simple as a homemade card, baking a cake, decorating a picture frame, origami if you're talented, a handmade pillow, picking some flowers from your garden, or doing chores your mom usually does. And of course lots of hugs and kisses =)

it all depends on how much your sister can spend....you can try doing something like a :
scrapbook
or a colage for her
40 dollar earings from swarovski crystal store (look like diamonds not as expensive...not even close)
a book she is looking to read
take her to get her nails done....if shes into that sort of thing
a coupon book for your mom(on the computer with your help maybe)...in which she can do certain things for your mom....help wash the dishes....give her 10 hugs today....that type of thing
or perhaps you and your sister can go in on the gift together and get her something from the swaovski store.....or anywhere from that matter

Speaking as a mother. Whatever the child gave me I would be happy with. By hand a nice birthday card with many hugs and kisses on it.

a handmade card
make a book for photos you have around.
make breakfast
clean something
make a bracelet, necklace or earrings with beads
make candles (she'll need your help w/ this)
make a bath oil/water or bath salts
set a beautiful table for a her birthday dinner (cooked by someone else. hint. hint)
and of course just telling her how much you love her and smothering her with your kisses.

She could do a cheque book of chores. ie: 1 cheque=help hanging out the washing etc.
Or she could do her a poem. To be honest anything made by her with some thought in it will make her day.

A great thing is a hand painted pot with a flower inside! Have your sister paint the pot the plant your mom's favorite flower inside!!

give more information of what you have seen that your mom likes to do. anything would actually be find because her mom would appreciate anything that she make for her. so just pile some things together give some flowers, make her a i love you card with pictures, a collage. with sparkles everywhere.
