i have butter on mine but my partner says thats horrible what do you say

When I was in grade school, the cooks at our school cafeteria made fresh bread every day. They whipped butter, peanut butter and honey together and then made peanut butter sandwiches -- they were wonderful.

yes, I put butter on mine. The butter goes under the peanutbutter on the bread to keep the PB from stickingto the roof of your mouth. I think my older brother got me doing that way back in elementary school. Also I put jelly on the other slice of bread and make it a sandwich.

It's not healthy, but it sure is good. Makes it smoother in my opinion. When I was a kid we put all kinds of things on peanut butter sandwiches and butter was one of them. We used to sprinkle white or brown sugar too which was a bit out there. Tell your partner it could be something stranger - my hubby puts mayo on his like someone above. I can't believe there is someone else doing that. Yuck!

I do. My wife says it's gross, but it's so tasty! I don't know where I picked that up from, but I've put butter on my PB sandwiches since I was a kid. There again, she has no room to talk. She puts pb, mayo, and bananas on hers. I tried it once, and it's absolutely disgusting to me.

I always do - it is very fatting but its keeps the peanut butter for sticking to the roof of your mouth and its awesome.

I like my pb&j toasted so I always use butter. here is one of my Grandmas hillbilly recipies
mix peanut butter, butter,and karo syrup spread on hot sweet cornbread I know is sounds nasty but it is good.

I put butter on my toast and then top it with peanut butter! Yummy! Nice and gooey!
